Abstract

This paper reports on the optical studies of the thin film of one thienylene–dialkoxyphenylene copolymer. The film for the optical measurements was prepared by spin coating on glass substrates. Absorption spectra were recorded at room temperature and photoluminescence spectra were recorded in the temperature range from 300 K to 20 K. The analysis of the relative intensity of the zero-phonon, and the 0–1 and 0–2 vibronic bands indicates a change in conjugation length with temperature in the PL spectra, and its evolution allows the determination of the Huang–Rhys factor.
