Abstract
⺠Ti3(Si, Al)C2 and (Ti, Zr)3(Si, Al)C2 compounds were irradiated with 95 MeV Xe up to 2 Ã 1019 mâ2 and 4.5 Ã 1019 mâ2 respectively. ⺠Substitution of Ti by Zr did not impact the good resistance to irradiation of Ti3(Si, Al)C2. ⺠A plateau in hardness above 1019 mâ2 evidences a saturation in irradiation damage. ⺠No amorphisation was highlighted.
