Abstract
⺠Dissolution in aqueous environments show <0.8 wt.% loss Pu. ⺠Proposed a mechanism for Pu dissolution in HNO3 from ZrO2-MgO matrix. ⺠HNO3-HF-H2O2 solution was capable of dissolving >80 wt.% of the total Pu.
