Abstract
⺠Breakaway oxidation is one of the main issues in zirconium cladding during LOCA condition. ⺠The mechanism of breakaway oxidation considered after the systematical examination and literature study. ⺠Thus, the hydrogen related breakaway mechanism can be suggested.
