Abstract
▶ The twinning deformation occurred in the coarse grained (CG) Mg-Zn-Ca alloy during the room-temperature compressive deformation, but was not observed in the ultra-fine grained (UFG) Mg-Zn-Ca alloy. ▶ The dynamic recrystallization was observed in the CG Mg-Zn-Ca alloy during the compressive deformation. ▶ The twinning activation resulted in a more remarkable texture evolution in the CG Mg-Zn-Ca alloy.
