Abstract

Cancer becomes a leading cause of death around the world. The goal of the present investigation was to formulate and evaluate chitosan and Eudragit® nanoparticles of Genistein, the predominant isoflavone found in soy products for cancer therapy. Nanoparticles of Genistein were prepared by Emulsion droplet coalescence method using chitosan, Eudragit® S100, liquid paraffin and Tween-20. Drug entrapment and particle size of optimized batch of the genistein nanoparticles were approximately 80.26 ± 0.68% and 79.32 ± 1.09 respectively. The delivery of Genistein loaded Chitosan and Eudragit S100 loaded polymeric nanoparticles is feasible approach to treat cancer.
