Abstract

Polyaniline was synthesized using aniline as monomer, and Y-type hexaferrite with composi-tion Co2Mn2Sr1.6Nd0.4Fe10O22 was prepared by co-precipitation assisted by surfactant. Three composites of Polyaniline with different ferrite ratios were prepared by mechanical blending. The synthesized samples were characterized by X-Ray diffraction and electrical measurements. The XRD analysis reveals single-phase Y-type hexagonal ferrite. In Polyaniline-Ferrite composites the increase in real and imaginary part of complex permittivity was observed with the increase of ferrite filler in the polyaniline matrix. At low frequencies the magnitude of dielectric constant and complex permittivity is high and decrease at high frequencies with few relaxation peaks.
