Abstract
Iron oxide thin film has been prepared by sol-gel dip coating method. The film is deposited at withdrawal speed of 250 mms-1 on glass substrate. The film is further characterized using UV-Visible spectroscopy Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and Vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) for the study of their optical and magnetic properties. The optical absorption showed direct band gap of 1.9 eV. The smooth and homogenous surface of film was observed by SEM. The VSM studies reveal that film is ferromagnetic in nature.
