Abstract
ZnO have been fabricated using co-precipitation method. The molecular weights of the precursor's chlorides were used to adjust composition. The pure ZnO sample exhibited single phase, while, the sample with xBi = 0.02 resulted phase separation into the formation of BiCl3 peak. The room temperature ferromagnetism (RTFM) in pure and Bi doped ZnO has been observed. The powder specimens have been characterized by x-ray diffraction (XRD) to determine crystal structure. The surface morphology was measured by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The magnetic properties were determined from the hysteresis loops measured by vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM).
