Abstract
In this work, we propose an electrochemical application of Poly(1,8-Diaminonaphthalene) and Nickel ions Particles (NiPs) modified carbon paste electrode (CPE) to electrocatalytic oxidation of methanol for direct methanol fuel cells (DMFCs). The electrochemical characterization of the film modified carbon paste electrode (CPE/PDAN)/NiPs) has been done in alkaline medium. It was found that it exhibits an interesting redox behavior of nickel particles. The dispersion, morphology, conductivity and structure of the modified electrode are characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), cyclic voltammetry (CV), and electrochemical impedance spectra (EIS).
