Abstract
This study reports on a systematic investigation of the multi-scale hierarchical arrangements in/of the Sepia melanin nanospheres using ultrahigh resolution transmission electron microscopy combined with transmission and scanning electron microscopies. The morphological dynamic of the nm in average diameter melanin nanoparticles seem to be governed by self-assembly phenomenon before and after their final growth stages.
