Abstract
► The potential application of SWCNTs as mass sensors is examined using RKPM. ► Nonlocal Rayleigh, Timoshenko, and higher-order beam models are adopted. ► Frequency shift ratio (FSR) of a SWCNT due to arbitrarily added nano-objects is studied. ► Influential parameters on FSRs of SWCNTs under different conditions are introduced. ► The capabilities of the proposed models in capturing FSRs of SWCNTs are examined.
