The surface temperature of a concentrator photovoltaic rises more than the normal poly silicon (p-Si) photovoltaic, and it cannot give enough conversion efficiency. Therefore, in this research, the cover glass with a wavelength selective transmission thin film to prevent near infrared ray which causes device temperature rise and to improve its conversion efficiency was attached to a concentrator photovoltaic. Some films which have different ratios of transmittances between a transmitting band and a cut-off band were prepared and investigated a tendency of its effect to improve the conversion efficiency. According to results, thin film whose transmittance of cut-off band is 10% gave the highest improvement of the conversion efficiency as 1.1%.
