Abstract
► Pyrochlore type La2Zr2O7 is one of the emerging novel materials for TBC application. ► Transferred arc plasma (TAP) torch processing is competitive for bulk production of ceramic materials. ► Optimization of the operating parameters is necessary to get maximum efficiency. ► The present TAP torch produces bulk amount of La2Zr2O7 within a short span of time.
