Abstract
The single crystal structure of the organic–inorganic hybrid (C6H5C2H4NH3)2ZnBr4 has been investigated. The crystal of (C6H5C2H4NH3)2ZnBr4 belongs to the monoclinic P21/c space group, with a = 7.6700(12) Å, b = 25.532(3) Å, c = 11.1481(12) Å, and β = 91.403(11)°. The (C6H5C2H4NH3)2ZnBr4 structure features well-ordered layers of isolated ZnBr4 separated by bilayers of phenethyl ammonium cations.
