Abstract
The nano-silicon connected by a nest-like polyaniline (PANi) was simply synthesized by a chemical polymerization process. The cycle stability and rate performance of the Si/PANi composite were greatly enhanced compared with the pristine nano-silicon. The improved electrochemical characteristics are attributed to the volume buffering effect as well as effective electronic conductivity of the nest-like polyaniline, and lower aggregation of the nano-silicon.
