Abstract

Here we report that the nanoropes and terraced micropyramids of In–Sb semiconductors can be successfully synthesized at room temperature. The electrochemical route shows a simple, quick and economical method for the preparation of various In–Sb semiconductor nanostructures. The possible formation mechanisms of In–Sb nanoropes and terraced micropyramids are proposed in this paper. The UV–vis absorption spectra of the prepared In–Sb nanoropes and terraced micropyramids were recorded to reveal the correlation between the optical properties and the morphologies of the samples.
