Abstract
The effective enhancement of the electrogenerated chemiluminescence (ECL) of tris(2,2′-bipyridyl)ruthenium(II) (Ru(bpy)32+)/tripropylamine (TPrA) system was achieved on CdS nanocrystals film modified glassy carbon electrode (CdS NCs/GCE), which was mainly attributed to the more facile direct oxidation of TPrA on CdS NCs film. The ECL detection for Ru(bpy)32+ with CdS NCs/GCE resulted in a detection limit of 2.8 × 10−17 M (S/N = 3), which may lead to more efficient immunoassay and DNA analysis based on Ru(bpy)32+ ECL.
