Abstract
Ellipsoidal K2Ta2O3F6 particles with an average length of 2.79 μm and a diameter of 0.63 μm were synthesized by anodization in saturated solutions of potassium chloride containing 5 wt% HF. Microstructure and composition analysis were conducted by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffractometry and energy dispersive spectroscopy. Formation mechanism of this special morphology was given based on the experimental results.
