Abstract
We have installed a new experimental apparatus to measure the γ rays from highly excited states produce by surrogate reactions. The apparatus consists of of two anti-Compton LaBr3(Ce) spectrometers to measure the γ rays and a Si ΔE−E detector to detect outgoing particles. We have used the apparatus to measure the deexcitation γ rays in compound nuclei produced by multinucleon transfer reactions.
