Abstract
Differential cross sections and photon-beam asymmetries for hyperon photoproduction from protons and neutrons are measured in the photon energy range from 1.5 to 2.4 GeV at the SPring-8/LEPS facility. The acceptance sits at very forward and backward direction of K scattering angle in the center-of-mass system. We report the recent results of photoproduction of Σ∗−(1385) and Λ(1520). The beam asymmetries of Σ∗−(1385) are negative, in contrast with positive values for Σ−. A large asymmetry of the production cross section from protons and neutrons was observed for Λ(1520) at backward K angles.
