Abstract
A phenomenological model of the reaction is suggested. The model successfully describes all the available experimental data in the energy range from the threshold to 3.2 GeV in the cm system. Higher-mass resonances contribute to the cross sections substantially. Implications for Ξ hypernuclear production by the (K−,K+) reaction are discussed.
