Abstract
Possible assignments of Ds1±(2700) and DsJ(2860) in the conventional quark model are analyzed. Some implications to these assignments are explored. If Ds1±(2700) and DsJ(2860) are the orbitally excited D-wave and 3− () Ds, respectively, other two orbitally excited D-wave around 2800 MeV are expected. If Ds1±(2700) is the first radially excited 1− () Ds, other three radially excited , and are expected. Ds2 and are mixing states, and has broad total width.
