Abstract
When a jet propagates inside a hot QGP, strong interaction between the hard parton and the thermal medium induces bremsstrahlung of gluons. The resulting loss of jet energy, known as 'jet quenching', is an important tool to study properties of the hot and dense QCD medium. In this report, we outline our quenching rate calculation which includes all leading order thermal QGP effects. We then report our calculation of the jet quenching pattern (RAA) and hard parton spectrum that come out of interaction between jets and the medium.
