Abstract
This is a brief overview on the new developments in the theoretical description of the interplay between the extended jet structures and the geometry of the medium produced in heavy-ion collisions. New experimental data from RHIC is showing and exploiting how these new tools can be used to characterize the medium. Jet studies will be of primary importance for the LHC heavy-ion program.
