Abstract
Analysis of the angular distributions of the final products of the decay chain allows the determination of mixing parameters, in particular the width difference between the weak eigenstates, ΔΓs, which is at present not precisely measured. It also allows measurement of the CP-violating phase ϕs of the system, which is expected to be very small (0.03 rad) in the Standard Model, but might show large non-Standard-Model enhancements. The high production rate of mesons at the LHC will permit precise measurements of these quantities; the performance of the three LHC experiments which have a B physics programme (ATLAS, CMS and LHCb) will be presented.
