Abstract
Many key questions in particle physics and cosmology are unanswered today. Accelerator experiments together with astro(particle)physics observations can shed light on these questions. Together with the LHC the ILC will play a crucial role. This contribution deals with the ILC project comprising physics case, detector studies and accelerator development.
