Abstract
The semileptonic decays of D and Ds+ mesons into the scalar mesons ƒ0(980) and σ are investigated using the QCD sum rules technic. The ƒ0(980) and σ mesons are considered as quark-antiquark states with a mixture of strange and light components. We evaluate the decay rates in terms of the mixing angle. Using the factorization approximation we conclude that it is not possible to explain the available experimental data with this picture of the light scalar mesons.
