Abstract
We report on the recent results of searches for lepton-flavor-violating τ decays with the world-largest data samples accumulated by the Belle detector. Our sensitivity reaches O(10−8) and it corresponds to about one hundred times more sensitive search than CLEOʼs. Also, we discuss the future prospects on the SuperKEKB/Belle II experiments, where we expect a forty times higher luminosity.
