Abstract
We review the status of the Standard Model prediction of the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon and the electromagnetic coupling at the scale MZ. Recent progress in the evaluation of the hadronic contributions have consolidated the prediction of both quantities. For g−2, the discrepancy between the measurement from BNL and the Standard Model prediction stands at a level of more than three standard deviations.
