Abstract
We study the effect of flavor changing charged currents (FCCC) of the lepton sector in hadronic tau decays, τ→νXK−π0 (X=e,μ). In the general two Higgs doublet model, the lepton flavor changing neutral current (FCNC) arises in the charged lepton sector and contributes to processes such as τ→μμ+μ− and τ→μ(e)P0, where P0=π0,η,η′. We derive a relation between the FCCC due to the charged Higgs boson and the FCNC due to the neutral Higgs boson. Then, by using the recent experimental upper bound on FCNC of τ→lXη(π0) (lX=e,μ) processes, we study how large the effect of FCCC could be in τ→νXKπ decays. We also report preliminary result on the form factor calculations of τ→Kπν decays and the hadronic invariant mass distribution.
