Abstract
Recent updates in the search for lepton-flavor-violating τ decays at the Belle experiment are presented. The Belle detector has successfully accumulated data samples of pairs. Using such a large amount of samples, searches for τ decays to a lepton and neutral pseudo-scalar meson or vector meson have been performed. The upper limit of the branching ratio (BR) was obtained to be O(10−8). The search for τ→μρ set the most stringent upper limit (BR<1.2×10−8 at the 90% confidence level) among all of the lepton-flavor-violating τ decays.
