Abstract
The datasets collected at the ϒ(3S) and ϒ(2S) energies have recently allowed the BaBar experiment to obtain several important results in the search for direct and indirect new physics effects. In particular, new limits on lepton flavor violating decays of the ϒ(3S) and ϒ(2S), on the ratio Γ(ϒ(1S)→τ+τ−)/Γ(ϒ(1S)→μ+μ−), and on searches for a light CP-odd Higgs boson decaying into final states with τ leptons are presented.
