Abstract
The COMET experiment will search for the charged lepton flavour violating process μ−+N(Z,A)→e−+N(Z,A) with an ultimate single event sensitivity of 3×10−17. Design, R&D and construction are all well underway and described here is an update on the current status of the experiment.
