Abstract
A discussion is presented of pp and p scattering at high energies which satisfies the requirements of dispersion relations and of a theorem by A. Martin about the zero of the real amplitude. In particular the use of Derivative Dispersion Relations is extended to the control of the slopes of the real and imaginary amplitudes.
