Abstract
In this proceeding, the current status and some physics goals of the Tokai-to-Kamioka (T2K) long baseline neutrino oscillation experiment is given. T2K is currently in the construction phase, with first neutrinos expected in April 2009. Also presented is the expected sensitivities during the first 5 years of data taking.
