Abstract
The integration plan for assembling the Pixel Detector layers, with high positional precision, around the ATLAS beam pipe into the Pixel Package, and the special set of tools designed and produced to accomplish this objective, are described after an illustration of the light weight mechanical support system with integrated cooling developed for the ATLAS Pixel Detector. Installation mechanical structures devoted to put the Pixel Package in its final position into the ATLAS pit are then presented.
