Abstract
This study concerns slow inorganic scintillators, particularly those poorly endowed with photons. Monte Carlo simulations are used to mimic the statistical nature of both the light emission and the photomultiplier behaviour. Simulated waveforms highlight practical difficulties concerning multiple triggering. Important photomultiplier attributes are discussed.
