Abstract
Effects of the ground-state deformation of nuclei in relativistic collisions are studied with the emphasis on the elliptic flow phenomenon. Possible deformation of proton is discussed and consequences of such deformation in the elastic scattering experiments as well as in the relativistic proton-proton collisions are explored.
