Abstract
It has been proposed to increase the luminosity of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN at around 2017 by an order of magnitude, called the Super-LHC (sLHC). The ATLAS experiment will need a new tracker for sLHC operation due to radiation damage and the increased occupancy. In order to cope with the higher occupancy an all silicon tracker is being designed.
