Abstract
The Fermi Large Area Telescope (LAT) is a high sensitivity and resolution gamma-ray observatory. Launched in June 2008, the LAT has been collecting data continuously in nominal operations since August 2008, providing exciting results that are contributing to changing our understanding of the extreme Universe. This paper gives and overview of the mission and discuss some of its most exciting and recent results.
