Abstract
We discuss our results on Nucleon to Δ(1232) electromagnetic transition from Lattice QCD. The magnetic dipole (M1), electric quadrupole (E2) and Coulomb quadrupole (C2) form factors are determined using optimal techniques on quenched lattices for values of momentum transfer squared in the range 0.1–1.5 GeV2. It is shown that the ratios REM=E2/M1 and RSM=C2/M1 are nonzero and negative, in qualitative agreement with the experimental results. We also present first results for REM and RSM from QCD with 2+1 dynamical quark flavors using the MILC lattices and Domain Wall valence quarks, in an attempt to approach the physical pion mass regime.
