Abstract
High intensity conventional horn-focused neutrino beam produced by MW-class proton accelerator, “super beam”, provides opportunity to further develop neutrino physics, especially long baseline (LBL) oscillation experiments. Current super beam LBL experiments are aiming for discovery of the νμ to νe conversion phenomena and, as a consequence, the finite value of the θ13 mixing angle. Future super beam LBL experiments are proposed to explore lepton sector CP violation and mass hierarchy with upgrading both accelerator/beam-line and a main neutrino detector. The experiments and their physics potential will be discussed.
