Abstract
We report on the current status of our calculation of the next-to-leading order corrections to both the color singlet and color octet contributions to the J/ψ meson production cross section via direct photoproduction at HERA within the factorization formalism of nonrelativistic quantum chromodynamics (NRQCD).
