Abstract
Based on a high-statistical data sample of 5×108 τ-pairs, accumulated with the Belle detector at the KEKB e+e− collider, we have carried out precise measurements of Br(τ−→K∗0(892)K−ντ)=(1.78±0.01±0.10)×10−3 and of the basic parameters of the neutral K∗0(892) meson as MK∗0=(895.49±0.18±0.30)MeV/c2 and ΓK∗0=(48.86±0.50±0.69)MeV. The branching fractions of several τ decays involving η meson(s) (τ−→ηXντ) is also obtained with much better accuracies than from previous measurements, by carefully scrutinizing background (BG) contaminations. A comparisons are made with some theoretical calculations. (All results presented here are preliminary.)
