Abstract
In light-front dynamics singularites may appear in time-ordered amplitudes that are absent in the manifestly covariant treatment of a system described by the same Lagrangian. Examples are discussed for the case of the Yukawa model. It is shown that both instantaneous contributions to the fermion propagator and higher Fock components are needed to resolve the discrepancy between the two approaches.
