Abstract
⺠Adduct formation in the reactions of α-hydroxyalkyl radicals with nicotinamide and 6-methyl nicotinic acid was studied by pulse radiolysis technique. ⺠Adducts undergo decay to give pyridinyl type of radicals of nicotinamide and 6-methyl nicotinic acid. ⺠Linear dependence of adduct formation rate constants on reduction potential of reducing radicals is seen.
