Abstract
► Adduct formation in the reactions of α-hydroxyalkyl radicals with nicotinamide and 6-methyl nicotinic acid was studied by pulse radiolysis technique. ► Adducts undergo decay to give pyridinyl type of radicals of nicotinamide and 6-methyl nicotinic acid. ► Linear dependence of adduct formation rate constants on reduction potential of reducing radicals is seen.
