Abstract
⺠Geminate electron-ion recombination in ionized high-mobility liquids is investigated. ⺠An efficient theoretical method using the Metropolis rejection criterion is applied. ⺠Electron thermalization distances are obtained from the experimental free-ion yields. ⺠Results are significantly different from those obtained using the Onsager theory. ⺠Regularities in the thermalization distance in various liquids are revealed.
