Abstract
⺠PANI nanocolloids were chemically synthesised in the presence of PVA and chitosan. ⺠PANI dispersions were transformed into hydrogel nanocomposites by e-beam irradiation. ⺠Characteristic optical properties of PANI were shown by the nanocomposite hydrogels. ⺠Absence of cytotoxicity for the nanocomposite hydrogels is demonstrated. ⺠Results encourage developments for application in biosensing and smart drug delivery.
