Abstract
Kinetic model for the radiolysis of pure water describing the formation of H2, H2O2 and O2 and the radiation chemical transformations of aqueous solutions containing these compounds over a broad range of concentrations, pH, absorbed doses and dose rates is proposed and substantiated. The model includes a set of chemical reactions with optimized rate constants and the radiation chemical yields of radiolysis products. The model applicability to the description of the whole set of data on the radiation chemical transformations of water and aqueous solutions of H2, H2O2 and O2 is demonstrated.
